#1. Are 'http://www.su-jine.com/en/' and 'http://su-jine.com/en/' same?
[November 2, 2003]
Su-Jine can show the same contents by both 'http://www.su-jine.com/en/' and 'http://su-jine.com/en/' Which is better when we register the Su-Jine site on search engines and links?
We can register the both. However it would be more beneficial to form a common policy, which use only one URL. Of course you should offer same URL even when the others link your site. Why? the reason is Google separately recognizes two URLs of 'http://www.su-jine.com/en/' and 'http://su-jine.com/en/'.
Let's capture a packet of the Google tool bar. The Google tool bar evaluates URL by using some function, though it doesn't be opened to the public. The numeric value is the ch value. If the value of two URLs are unlike, The google recognizes them differently.
The following is the ch values of the two URLs.
As states above, all ch values are different. That's why we should integrate URL so that the Google can consider the site unique. My suggestion is to use one URL when you ask someone to link your link or register the URL in search engines.
In addition, please note that we should integrate the URL in OUR site. I sometimes see 'Back to home' designate './index.html'. It would be better to write './' or 'http://www.su-jine.com/en/'.
